The Montana MVD knowledge test is the gateway between you and a learner's license. It's 33 questions — longer than the national norm of 25, shorter than many 40-question states — and you need to get 27 right (82%) to pass. Montana's MVD will not tell you which questions you missed if you fail; you only get the verdict. The good news: at just $5, it's the cheapest permit application fee in the country.
